  • Systems Data encompasses data generated or collected through customers’ use of our products and services, such as logs, session data, telemetry, support and usage statistics, threat intelligence or actor data, potentially malicious files, and derivatives thereof.

  • Threat Data refers to raw information used to distinguish between normal and malicious behavior or content.

  • Threat Intelligence is curated and enriched information, drawing from many sources—including Threat Data—to train and inform our algorithms and models.

Barracuda AI continually learns from Threat Data artifacts like the malicious emails and files processed through our products and services. Regular ingestion and enhancement of this data keeps Barracuda AI current, allowing it to accurately identify threat indicators and protect our customers.

 

Data Protection within Barracuda AI

Data processed by Barracuda AI is encrypted both in transit and at rest, leveraging state-of-the-art cryptographic protocols. Secure, private cloud infrastructures—across Azure, AWS, and, where applicable, Google Cloud—ensure strict access control, preventing unauthorized access and reducing the risk of data breaches. Access to sensitive data at Barracuda is governed by the principle of least privilege access and enforced through authentication, authorization, and monitoring mechanisms.
