Barracuda’s response to the Russia-Ukraine crisis
As the events in Ukraine continue to develop, we want to provide you with information on the steps Barracuda is taking to comply with the newly announced sanctions imposed by the U.S. government.
The sanctions restrict our ability to provide and support our products and services for our valued customers and partners in the newly embargoed regions of Russia, Belarus, and the Luhansk and Donetsk regions of Ukraine. Like others, we want to express our support for Ukraine and our hope for a quick and peaceful resolution to this conflict. The attacks by the Russian government on Ukraine has set off a global emergency that will have lasting effects.
As a U.S. headquartered company, we are currently unable to provide product support to partners and customers in Russia, Belarus, and the Luhansk and Donetsk regions of Ukraine. The new U.S. government export sanctions were issued with immediate effect and specifically prohibit Barracuda from:
- Exporting products and services to any entity within Russia, Belarus, and the Luhansk and Donetsk regions of Ukraine.
- Providing continued active support of existing products located in Russia, Belarus, and the Luhansk and Donetsk regions of Ukraine.
As a result, effective Tuesday March 8, 2022, you will be unable to access our product and solutions, and the functionality of the products will be suspended. Please ensure that you take precautions to inspect and secure your infrastructure to reduce potential exposure to cyberattacks.
This is a dynamic and rapidly changing environment, and we will adjust our practices to comply with any updated requirements as they arise. In addition, we will continue to provide updates to this Trust Center regarding these matters. If you have further questions, please contact our legal team at legal@barracuda.com.
